Students in this year smooth will also focus on learning the organizational skills of time management, prioritizing and study skills that will enable them to flourish both in their vogue year and in the years to come. We also have many presentations to recognize our lofty achievers in School Sport. St Andrews also runs an end of year tournament for all students in the Junior School. The Premature Learning center is a instinctive play based environment, where the program is based on the children's needs and interests, and the learning is embedded into all activities and experiences. Personal excellence is encouraged across all year levels, with recognition and encourage provided for each child, through particular programs aimed at both enriching and extending each child’s potential. In addition to the class teachers and urge Aides located throughout the Junior School, there are a number of specialist teachers, who produce learning opportunities in Music, Personal Social and Physical Education (pipe), and Japanese, along with Learning Enrichment teachers who aid in formulating and implementing a differentiated curriculum that supports each child’s unique learning needs. Leadership opportunities highlight the time that a student spends in their final year in the Junior School, and Year 6 students are capable to nominate for participation in a wide range of portfolios, aimed at supporting staff and students. ServiceLearning is an innovative values based program, which aims to teach young people generosity and empathy for others putting values into action. In a Lutheran school setting, Service’ is pivotal to our accepting of who we are and Whose we are. Our accepting of service is linked to a Lutheran accepting of vocation God calls us to serve others in the world. Within any effective ServiceLearning Project, there must be: A sincere problem that needs to be solved. Servicelearning has the potential to present students difficult and life changing experiences. It also has the potential to sensitize students to social, virtuous and fastidious issues that they might choose to devote their skills to solving local and global community problems. It also helps students to be capable to reflect actively on what they are learning and the impact of that learning on their lives. Students are given structured opportunities designed to enhance development a learning. At the College there are many opporunitties for students to receive part in service learning. Each year there are many activities that students can urge and participate in that serve others. Whilst we don’t espouse to service for recognition, we do acknowledge the appropriate work of our students both within and beyond our community through our service, awareness, learning in community (SAC) awards.
