These products are made available to the consumer in most cases, we have a very specialized cleaner we use for treated tangible surfaces called Hydroclean, it is as the name may suggest, a product containing a trivial amount of Hydrochloric Acid as the energetic ingredient, as such we do not generally supply this product to the retail trade. In controlled use situations Hydroclean has proven to be an excellent cleaning product with the skill to detach maximum staining and contamination from treated tangible and some tiled surfaces. Another excellent cleaning product is our Compressed Duty Cleaner or Blue as we call it, Blue is an Alkaline Cleaning product designed to detach grease and general soiling from kitchen floors and industrial workshop areas, diluted as much as 80 parts water to one segment cleaner, this product is so versatile it can be impaired to orderly windows and donate a streak free result, Blue is classified as Non Shaky according to Worksafe Australia criteria and is safe to use in all situations. Without doubt, the most requested application we are asked about is for ceramic tiles which are slippery when they are wet. A prime example is the domestic bathroom, for aesthetic purposes these areas are fitted with a glazed ceramic tile, these are effortless to clean, look good and are relatively inexpensive. The downside is the slipperiness of these tiles, in a lot of cases the client throws a bathmat on the floor and a suction cup mat on the bathtub or shower base, this works nice until the bathmat goes sliding on the wet tile and the suction cup mat develops smelly fungus on the underside. At Slipsafe we have solved this problem by the provision of a chemical application which physically alters the surface profile of a ceramic surface, once treated with Slipsafe, this surface will yield a slip resistive conclude which is now a part of the surface, there is no coating to wear off or arrive loose, simply a profiled surface which is honest as effortless to clean as it was before, and a lot safer. The equivalent principal would apply to tiled entry areas, or tiles in a building entry, around a pool, in fact if you have a tile which is slippery when wet then this process can address and solve the problem. NAFTA certified tests are available on the completed areas and a certificate of compliance is issued by the testing facility, these tests are carried out on site. When Slipsafe is applied to a ceramic tiled surface the latter chemical reaction occurs. Existing pores within the surface are opened and then resealed impartial under the surface of the tile thereby creating thousands of small suction cups which provide a slip resistive effect to the surface when wet. The surface has been chemically modified, quite simply we create a tread pattern within the surface, once treated with Slipsafe, the treated surface has been altered permanently to bear a slip resistive finish, this cannot be affected by harsh cleaning methods. We suggest you inspect the treated tile when wet and parched to ensure you are happy with the finished product. As a simple comparison, if we drill little holes in a piece of timber, those holes will remain there either until the wood wears down to the smooth of the lowest hole, or we fill the holes up with a filler. Once Slipsafe treatment has been applied then the surface is slip resistive for the period it takes for the tile to wear out, subject to those pores being kept open. There is little or no change in the frictional value of the surface when that surface is parched however, an improvement of up to 100 in the frictional values of that surface when wet could be expected. The surface treated will continue slip resistive when wet for a period of two years in commercial situations, for five years in domestic situations Or the effective life of the tile subject to the correct cleaning methods being followed. The difference in warranty periods is because Slipsafe has created those suction cups in the top of the tile, as the tile wears down, so does the effect of Slipsafe, in Domestic Situations this is rarely an issue, in Commercial Situations however the tile is subjected to a much higher rate of traffic and succeeding wear, hence the diverse warranty time. CLEANING A TREATED SURFACE It is important that a surface treated with Slipsafe is not allowed to become dirtier than normal or otherwise contaminated with dirt or in the case of Restaurant areas, food substances oils, fats and contaminates associated with the preparation of foodstuffs. To maintain a treated surface so that it remains slip resistive when wet, a non residue cleaning agent should be utilized.
