Tropical residence on important fan shaped block facing North on the main river. Conceived as a series of interlocking pavilions, living, family room, guest room and a study and a wraparound deck. A two store void divides the pavilion masses with a connecting bridge of recycled timber isolating the parents retreat on the upper level. An impaired timber cottage on the site was unsuited for renovation, however the hardwood was salvaged and old in the new dwelling, predominately as timber screens. Packed renovation to an existing waterfront residence, including arrival court, outdoor entertainment, fencing and landscape. Basement car park with commercial kitchen and laundry. C development with full basement including commercial kitchen and laundry. Type A construction including basement car park. Phillip has worked with many established Architectural practices however a desire to have a practice which focuses on design outcomes led him to form Regional Design in 200. Two place residence with partial basement and grotto, facing the main river with a narrow road frontage. A formal living space was not considered necessary so a important library (with fireplace) was located on the ground floor together with an unfold planned family lounge kitchen opening onto the roofed waterfront terrace. A mixed use development including childcare, residential units, vehicle parking, with a landscaped communal area on smooth 7, providing a recreation space for inhabitants. The ground floor childcare incorporates acoustic shielding to residential units above.
