quin is a statewide, not for profit, and non government health service which provides a variety of health services to illicit drug users throughout Queensland. quin, through its members, board of management, staff and volunteers promote the health and healthy being of people who currently use illicit drugs, those who have used illicit drugs in the past, and members of the community touched or affected by illicit drug use. In particular, quin provides the following types of primary protection and population health programs: Workforce development and training for outer health professionals and human service workers. Education and information provision to clients and community groups. Outreach and community partnership collaboration initiatives. Clinical counseling, dual diagnosis counseling and relapse prevention programs.

quin’s Health Promotion team can provide workforce development that is targeted at health and human service professionals and others busy with people who inject drugs ardor at risk of injecting drug use. Such activity is complemented by the provision of other education and health promotion interventions and resources through quin’s Needle and Syringe Programs (asps), as healthy as access to quin’s Treatment programs and relevant health and welfare services. counseling staff members are client focused in their approach and will urge clients in formulating and addressing their own chosen goals for change. The counselor and client will regularly review the counseling process to ensure that the focus of the sessions remain to address the client’s stated goals and needs.
