In 2009 Hudsons Coffee was acquired by Emirates Leisure Retail (ELR), the global hospitality business part of the high profile Emirates Group. When they returned to Australia they opened their first store on Elizabeth St, Melbourne. In the late 1990s, they discovered Australians were missing out on delicious, sampling the finest espressos from street stalls and bistros throughout North America and Europe, after spending time traveling around the world, high quality convenient coffee.
