Guardian Angels Catholic Primary School is a particular learning deposit for children that teaches them to engage and interact with others in a positive, productive, active and harmonious way. Students are recognized public friend for displaying these qualities in their interactions with peers and staff, receiving a exceptional award from the Parish Priest at our weekly assembly. The provision of quality educational programs, including a stuffed academic curriculum along with specialist music, physical education, performing arts, visual arts, Japanese and design technology lessons, as well as opportunities to participate in competitive team sports, swimming, instrument lessons, choir and the like, enables us to encourage and nurture each student’s development. Staff regularly face with the school administration and feel free to discuss any matters of concern and their professional goals. Inclusive Education at Guardian Angels involves supporting students through a range of programs, services and activities. At Guardian Angels, the learning area of religion is taught in accordance with the Religious Education Archdiocese of Brisbane: Religion Curriculum P12 and seeks to flourish the religious literacy of students in light of the Catholic Christian tradition so that they might participate critically and authentically in contemporary culture. The Religious Education Program at Guardian Angels outlines the values, principles and processes involved in planning for quality learning opportunities that promote this aim. At Guardian Angels we also acknowledge that parents are the prime educators of their children and we recognize that the development of the two dimensions of Religious Education will not be limited to the primary school context but rather developed over a total lifetime. The Performing Arts cover the curriculum strands of drama, media arts, dance and music. It currently operates in our Prep and Year 1 classes. There are five bands of varying levels who rehearse weekly at the school. There are three choirs that rehearse weekly developing their repertoire for performance. As positions arise students from other year levels who are deemed at the appropriate slick by their music teachers will be asked to unite the Senior Band. Parents are reminded that the challenges are for the children not the parents. So tasks should challenge the child’s ability, yet be achievable. It is an opportunity to learn or further thrive the skills for those students who are interested. Guardian Angels School Dance and Drama is originate to children in various year levels. Portion of our school’s Mission Statement is to labor in partnership with parents, care givers and the parish community. Each class at the school has one Parent. The Uniform Shop is a service provided by the school for the profit of the school community. Unfortunately many parents were already on the way to school with their children by this time.
