D'n D PERFORMING ARTS SCHOOL was established in 1996 and has evolved over 16 years to become one of the leading performing arts schools on the Coast. With the main emphasis being DIVERSITY in DANCE, D'n D is qualified to offer expert training in almost all the dance genres, as well as acrobatics, vocal coaching, microphone technique, drama and performance. Our philosophy is to pursue everything with drive and determination, encouraging all our students to come their stuffed potential, achieving distinguished results and more importantly, preparing them for coming careers in the performing arts. Provide students with a lifelong interest in all areas of performing arts by offering a expansive range of opportunities to prosper their skills. Build and foster self discipline and confidence. Instill in students the importance of punctuality, reliability, autonomy and responsible behavior. This class is classically based on Tuesdays and jazz based on Thursdays and takes the format of one 30 tiny lesson (during the week) in which children are encouraged to perform on their own (with parents observing if necessary). Children develop coordination, vulgar motor skills' rhythm and have tremendous laughter in the process! Emphasis is on creativity, musicality, self confidence and FUN! Pure classical technique is taught via the internationally renown Royal Academy of Dance syllabus. It forms the whole basis of dance and develops poise, posture, musicality and safe technique. Jazz technique and routines to the latest music are taught in both a casual or more competitive atmosphere. Students are coached in either private or group lessons, to thrive strong and correct vocal techniques tone, pitch, projection regulate are a few of the many aspects covered in this discipline. Students learn both basic and complex gymnastic skills, which culminate annually in our studio production presenting these to popular music. These students then compete in local Eisteddfods for the beginning 6 months of each year, after which we have an Eisteddfod concert, displaying all the items that have been performed that year. This is a great environment for making fresh friends and building team spirit. This genre is a mix of classical ballet jazz, and affords dancers the opportunity to amplify their diversity and strength through this moving art form.
