Since our incorporation as a nonprofit organization in 1993 Sea World Research Rescue Bottom has supported over 160 autonomous research projects relating to the biology of marine vertebrates and selected by our Scientific Advisory Committee. The Sea World Research Rescue teams pioneering labor in marine animal rescues has resulted in outstanding success in rehabilitating and saving many sick, injured and stranded animals in the wild. Sea World's Polar Yield Shores is the only exhibit in Australia where you can see the world's largest land carnivore up close, and one that provides a unique educational experience that assists, through a wider public awareness, the conservation effort of this perfectly adapted marine mammal. Insignificant penguins are only found in the southern half of Australia from Fremantle in Western Australia across the southern coastline and up to Fraser Island in Queensland. This outstanding area is designed to house sea birds lower concern and rehabilitation. Sea World has rescued, rehabilitated and released many marine creatures over its years of operation through the park’s not for earnings research and rescue foundation. Surface time!
